Instructions

  1. Place 1 passer on the wing
  2. Place 1 offensive player and 1 defender in the center
  3. Pass from the wing to start the 1v1
  4. Play live 1v1. No lob passes allowed
  5. Offense becomes defense. The defense outlets to the wing, then becomes the wing for the next rep
  6. The passer joins the center queue

Coaching Points

  • Attack the catch immediately
  • Use the first advantage instead of over-dribbling
  • Defend the ball with active feet and chest in front
  • Use a mismatch when it appears, but do not force it

Variations

  • Emphasize mismatch reads by pairing different sizes or positions
  • Limit the number of dribbles
  • Start from different wing spots or angles
